Head Coach Chad Neal

Coach Neal begins his 22nd season as the head coach at KHS, previously he served as head coach at Putnam High School for a year, and assistant coach for 7 years. Neal also is the Career Center Director at Killingly High School. He holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration (Sport Management) from Nichols College, and a Masters degree in teaching from Sacred Heart University. Coach Neal was named 2016 and 2018 Coach of the year by the Southeastern CT Chapter National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame and The Bulletin Coach of the Year following the 2016 and 2021 seasons. In 2019 and 2024, Neal was named Eastern Connecticut Conference Coach of the Year. In 2017, Neal was recognized as the GameTimeCT/New Haven Register Coach of the Year, and The Walter Camp Foundation Coach of the Year. Neal played high school football at Putnam High School, and then at Nichols College. He lives with his fiance' Jessica, daughter Jasmine, son Thomas, and step - daughters Olivia and Emma.
Coach Matt Sumner

Coach Sumner enters his 22nd season on the sideline with Killingly. Previously, he was an assistant for KHS under Gary Brine. Sumner is also a social studies teacher at Killingly High School and lives in Killingly with his wife Sara, daughters Madeline and Grace, and son Quinn. Coach Sumner is a graduate of Plainfield High School where he played quarterback, following high school he graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University. Coach Sumner coaches the quarterbacks and secondary, as well as serving as special teams coordinator.
Coach Gary Brine

Coach Brine returns for his 11th season to the Killingly sideline after leading the Redmen in the late 90's and early 2000's as their head coach. More recently, he served as head football coach at Woodstock Academy. Coach Brine was an assistant coach and defensive coordinator for KHS for 20 years which included 2 State Titles, he is the only coach to be part of all 4 State Titles for Killingly. Coach Brine lives in Killingly with his wife Penny, and is a graduate of Killingly High School. Brine will serve as defensive coordinator as well as working with the offensive and defensive lines.
Coach Chad Caffrey

Coach Caffrey enters his 14th season as an assistant coach at Killingly A Killingly graduate, he will coach running backs and linebackers, as well as assist with the defensive duties. Coach Caffrey is married to his wife Betty, and have three children Austin, Zach, and Brianna. Coach Caffrey is also the strength coach for Killingly football, where workouts take place at his famous Barn.

Coach Trevor Larrow
Coach Larrow enters his 18th year on the sideline at Killingly . A graduate of Killingly High School, he will be coaching runningbacks and linebackers. For the previous 7 seasons, Larrow was defensive coordinator before deciding to coach his sons at the youth level. Coach Larrow played at Nichols College and Western Connecticut State University, following a 4 - year high school career at Killingly. He is married to his wife Krissy, and live in Killingly with their two sons Tate and Hayden.

John Morrissette enters his 4th season on the sideline for the Trailblazers. A graduate of NFA, Coach Morrissette serves as the Head Freshmen Coach, and also assists with the offensive and defensive lines. Coach Morrissette also works with our youth football "KBMF" as an assistant coach with the seniors and serves as the Vice President for the league.

Judley Sanon enters his 2nd season for the Trailblazers. A 2024 graduate of Killingly High School, he served as a captain, and was a star running back who went on to play at Nichols College. Coach Sanon lives in Killingly with his wife Tammy and sons JR and Quincy. Coach Sanon coaces defensive backs and wide receivers, and assists with the Freshmen and Junior Varsity teams.

Zach Caffrey enters his 4th season with the Trailblazers. A 2018 graduate of Killingly High School, Zach was a team captain that helped lead the 2017 team to its 3rd State Championship with a win over Joel Barlow. Coach Caffrey went on to play 4 years at Plymouth State University. He currently works with fullbacks and defensive backs.
